Albert Einstein Free Printable Pack

by Sarah

Albert Einstein Free Printable Pack Featured Image

While March is known for my mom's birthday, it's also the month of the great Albert Einstein's birthday on March 14th. He was a soul after my own heart as I could embrace science AND music -- either future would make me happy beyond belief. Here is a fun, Albert Einstein Free Printable Pack to honor that man. Enjoy! Albert Einstein (/ˈaɪnstaɪn/ EYEN-styne; German: [ˈalbɛʁt ˈʔaɪnʃtaɪn] ( listen); 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics). It is funny to think that he worked AGAINST the German fatherland in World War Two, but he was one of many educated men that fled Hitler and his influence. It might have had something to do with the fact that the Einsteins were non-observant Ashkenazi Jews, and Albert attended a Catholic elementary school in Munich. Hitler wasn't known for his close relations with the Jewish Sect. Einstein … [Read more...]

I Was In An Opera

I Was In An Opera Featured Image

There is a fun program called Opera For The Young and I was able to take part of it! They travel around school districts and have all the materials that are needed -- before hand and on the actual day of the performance. So, I Was In An Opera! I was the Justice Of The Piece and was to perform a marriage ceremony. Unfortunately for the "happy couple" I was interrupted too many times to complete the ceremony and the hero was able to step in and take away the girl. For several weeks, we (me and the other kids) met before school to practice our parts. Then the day arrived for a dress rehearsal and the performance. We did the opera for the entire middle school -- it was a hoot! I have been on stage since I was 2, signing and dancing, so this was just a ton of fun for me, and the adult cast was a treat to work with! I highly suggest you try to get YOUR school involved -- it is a great program! Opera for the Young® brings live, professional opera to elementary school … [Read more...]

Hi. My name is Sarah and I am a Science Geek.(big surprise, right?)OK -- this is a game my mom and I have played for a long time - and really taught me the Periodic Table of Elements. So, let me start with a table for you to start playing ... Now, you need the worksheets. We used to have number scavenger hunts. Mom would make a string of numbers and then I would have to use the element code to spell a word. It really helped learn the numbers and match them to the codes. Get your free printables here: Periodic Table Word Challenge and Periodic Table Word Challenge part 2 We also used to make words with the element letters. LiBrArY is a great example.
