Hi. My name is Sarah and I am a Science Geek.
(big surprise, right?)
OK — this is a game my mom and I have played for a long time – and really taught me the Periodic Table of Elements.
So, let me start with a table for you to start playing …
Now, you need the worksheets.
We used to have number scavenger hunts. Mom would make a string of numbers and then I would have to use the element code to spell a word. It really helped learn the numbers and match them to the codes.

We also used to make words with the element letters. LiBrArY is a great example. Li+Br+Ar+Y
See how cool that is?
Here is a couple of worksheets:

Do not get hung up on the details on the cards and think your kids can’t understand them. 3 year olds can recite the states and capitols, if someone simply took the time to teach them! It is just amazing what little brains are capable of learning. Something like this Fun With The Periodic Table Of Elements are great to help you keep the littles etertained while waiting for that food at a restaurant or even when waiting for your turn at the Dentist! There is no “down time”, just time for quick learning opportunities that are just perfect if you are prepared! My mom always had a zippy bag in her purse that she called my “busy bag” – and changed it up often. You can do that too!
I hope you have as much fun with these as we did!
