Fun Holiday Craft Ideas for Kids

by Sarah

STEM is usually the buzz word for the idea of spurring kids on in their education. STEAM became the new buzz word as the “experts” realized that art was necessary too. STREAM is the most recent, with the addition of robotics. OIY! It can be hard to keep it all straight! These Fun Holiday Craft Ideas for Kids are great for helping kids take a break from STEM activities and delve into the art area.

Fun Holiday Craft Ideas for Kids

These different ideas have mostly to do with holiday ornaments, but a few are easy gift giving ideas. ornaments can be used in more ways than just on a tree: they can be used as gift toppers, or you can even just display them in a bowl.

Sock Snowman

They are adorable and a great use for those extra socks that we all have around the laundry room. The best part? IT takes 15 minute or less.

Popsicle Stick Tree Ornaments

These delightfully colorful and glitzy glitter covered modern Christmas tree ornaments made from humble popsicle sticks would also make an adorable garland for the fireplace mantle!

Straw Wreaths

These wreath ornaments made with paper straws are so bright and cheerful, you and your kids will want to make more than one! They would make great Christmas gifts for family and friends and look absolutely adorable on a Christmas tree. They are easy enough for younger kids to do by themselves and are great for working on fine motor skills.

One great thing about mod podge decoupage crafts is that they don’t have to be perfect. This is one project that the kids can work on with you and still get the desired look.

Cinnamon Ornaments

All you need is 2 ingredients to make these super simple and easy Homemade Cinnamon Ornaments! A great DIY holiday craft or fun Christmas gift for both kids and adults to make and customize!

Scented Holiday Tree Ornament

Like those swinging air freshener trees most people have in their cars? They look like a Christmas tree ornament and the only thing more fun to make than Christmas ornaments are scented Christmas tree ornaments!!
