The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is a great place to visit where you’re able to explore the history of the maritime history, learn, and play with 60,000 square feet of space. The museum gives visitors who come a unique place to learn about submariners that made history, sailors, and shipbuilding; you’ll be surprised how many hours you can spend here checking out the interactive exhibits the museum has to offer, historic maritime engines and vessels, along with the Wisconsin waterways. You’ll learn about how Manitowoc built more than 25 submarines during the war, the importance of US Navy submarines played in World War II, and explore other interesting exhibits. Tour the World War II submarine to get up close and personal with the USS Cobia, you’ll spend 45 minutes learning of the history that was made within the walls of the submarine while it was in service.
