There is so much to be learned from nature – that is just a part of why I love it so much! Birds, being the modern day dinosaurs of the sky, are fascinating to watch! This book (for kids) is to help learn more about the different species as they are observed, have a space to color in what they look like and even blank spaces for notes. PLEASE – take time to get outside with your kids and jump into nature! Make learning fun and a family activity!

Picture Books For Kids:

Another fun book from the 9-year-old college student Sarah Lyn Gay that is sure to delight kids as it teaches them a little about the bodily function: gas.

Sit back and enjoy as Miss Sarah share’s the story of her camping trip! This “telling” story is great for the littles.

One thing I learned in my meteorology class was the simple fact of timing. When a tornado is announced, people have 13 minutes to find cover. Hurricanes can be predicted almost two weeks in advance, and during that time, kids see an awful lot. They see adults stockpiling items, clearing shelves, boarding up windows, and more while the local television stations talk almost no-stop about the impending storm. This book should help kids take ownership of the event and the end result? They are less afraid when they have simple tasks to do and understand what is really going on. My First Hurricane is another gem by the 9-year-old college student: Sarah Lyn Gay.

Chapter Books For Kids:

If Angelique is good at anything, it’s thinking of others. So when she finds her a princess life in a castle in disarray, she hopes that writing her thoughts down will help her piece it back together. She wants to defy her parents because she feels morally obligated to help their subjects, and that requires to pretend to be someone else. Or so she thinks. Since her parents’ objection, it is hard to help others, especially since she is a royal… Geoffrey is Angelique’s unique and surprising love interest. He is honest and hard working, so Angelique vows to help him. You will thoroughly enjoy Sarah Lyn Gay’s story, Escaping The Castle.
