St Patrick’s Day Preschool Pack
A wee bit of Irish fun for St Patrick's Day that is perfect for the little leprechauns in your life! This is a free printable that we pulled together for you and hope that it delights your preschoolers! St Patrick's Day, feast day (March 17) of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity. While that is a little bit more history than most littles need to know about the big day, these printables for the littles are a great way to slowly break them into the traditions your family may have. My mom has some great Irish recipes to make, and of course, have the littles help you! Taste the food, play with the preschool pack, and maybe catch a local parade! The next thing you know - you are sprouting red hair and dancing a jig! Cooking with the kids is HUGE - you can teach them seven different lessons at the … [Read more...]
Albert Einstein Free Printable Pack
While March is known for my mom's birthday, it's also the month of the great Albert Einstein's birthday on March 14th. He was a soul after my own heart as I could embrace science AND music -- either future would make me happy beyond belief. Here is a fun, Albert Einstein Free Printable Pack to honor that man. Enjoy! Albert Einstein (/ˈaɪnstaɪn/ EYEN-styne; German: [ˈalbɛʁt ˈʔaɪnʃtaɪn] ( listen); 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics). It is funny to think that he worked AGAINST the German fatherland in World War Two, but he was one of many educated men that fled Hitler and his influence. It might have had something to do with the fact that the Einsteins were non-observant Ashkenazi Jews, and Albert attended a Catholic elementary school in Munich. Hitler wasn't known for his close relations with the Jewish Sect. Einstein … [Read more...]

SmartScope Makes Things Really Clear
Disclaimer: We were given a Smartscope in exchange for an honest review. It was given to the elementary school students for review and then they got to keep it for their Maker Space. Just like when I was little, my daughter spends a lot of time outside. My parents didn't believe in a lot of electronic toys, and I adapted that mentality when I became a parent, so my daughter depends a lot on the power of imagination and has learned to keep herself busy without the aid of a lot of gadgets. As a result of spending so much time outside, she's naturally found a lot of cool places around our home to explore as well as a collection of items she's unearthed during playtimenature-related. Most of it is nature-related, with items such as interesting rocks, unique flowers, bird feathers, etc. With each new fascinating addition to her growing collection, my daughter's interest grows. She's always taking the time to examine each item as she finds it, marveling in each unique characteristic. When I … [Read more...]
