SmartScope Makes Things Really Clear

by Sarah

disclaimer: we were given a Smartscope in exchange for an honest review. It was given to the elementary school students for review and then they got to keep it for their Maker Space.

SmartScope Makes Things Really Clear

Just like when I was little, my daughter spends a lot of time outside. My parents didn’t believe in a lot of electronic toys and I adapted that mentality when I became a parent, so, my daughter depends a lot of the power of imagination and has learned to keep herself busy without the aid of a lot of gadgets. As a result of spending so much time outside, she’s naturally found a lot of cool places around our home to explore as well as a collection of items she’s unearthed during play time. Most of it is nature related, with items such as interesting rocks, unique flowers, bird feathers, etc.

With each new fascinating addition to her growing collection, my daughter’s interest grows. She’s always taking the time to exam each item as she finds it, marveling in each unique characteristic. When I was given the opportunity to form a partnership with the company Ravensburger this holiday season and was able to review their Science X Smartscope, I knew right away that my daughter would love to use it to more closely exam her newfound treasures.

The Science X Smartscope is the ideal gift this Christmas for anyone on your list who likes to take a closer look at everyday objects or to better see how things work/look up close. You can utilize your smart phone or tablet to take a closer look at microscopics while using the Smartscope. This product allows you to get up close and personal with the object of your choosing, magnifying them to an incredible size so you can better examine them. Water, sand granules, feathers, insects, leaves, etc. the possibilities are endless!

With a removable light source and sliding tray with two different levels of magnification, the Smartscope allows you to see objects closer than ever before in minute detail. You can choose to exam your own items or study the objects on the included poster while following along in the manual for a ton of fun facts about each object.

Let’s see what the kids had to say about it:

“super easy to use”
“how cool is this thing?!?”
