Ode To Amtrak

I took my first Amtrak train ride this summer with my family -- this is a poem about it...Ode To Amtrak. Ode To Amtrak Rumble rumble, click clack,The train comes to a stop.“All aboard!” The conductor says,So on the train we hop. We are seated on the top row,The view is lovely and grand,My first time on a train- oh wow!Then my mom takes my hand. We switch trains in Chicago,Then find our sleeper car.We get up at 4:30 am,An exciting night by far. When switching trains in Pittsburgh,We sit in business class.We go around the Horseshoe Curve,The train steady and fast. We pull into our final stop,I had fun, quite a pity.But now I know I’ll have more fun,Finally! New York City! Family travel is such a fantastic thing! New places, new experiences and new foods? Bring it on! We talked before about how Travel is great for homeschool kids - but any travel is wonderful for ANY kids! That is why we have a Free Travel Journal for Kids! One of the best things to do when traveling is JOURNAL!Write down where you went, who went with you, what you saw and what your thoughts were about it all! Why do you want a Free Travel Journal for Kids? Just think of the years to come, when you are older and you get to go through your old journals and remember your experiences. It will be fun to see your drawings, thoughts and notes from when you were younger! Ask your parent to get you a 3-ring binder with sheet protectors so you have something to store your memories in -- you can also add things like tickets, wrist bands and pictures to your trip notes!
