St Patrick’s Day Activities For Kids? Before all the fun the little leprechauns, we want to share how you can have fun, yet be educational too! I know I have had a St Patrick’s Day Preschool Pack in the past, but I came up with some new – fun stuff – for older kids.
If you are looking at goofy things like a Leprechaun Trap, then you really need to check out my Mom’s Site: Operation $40K. She even has tons of great Irish recipes on there like Bangor’s and Mash as well as Classic Irish Soda Bread.
St Patrick’s Day Activities For Kids
We came up with a pack of FREE Printables that helps cover a bunch of fun things for the littles…tracing, counting, sorting, and even an I Spy game! Let’s look at a few of the fun things like the I Spy Game!
The fun and whimsical images are easy for the littles to hunt for and count. They simply add the count to the blank line. Teach them to cross out an image as they count it!
Some of those same whimsical graphics are here – teaching them the words as they trace them and then try to rewrite them. Now let’s talk counting…
We all know how leprechauns love their gold – the littles have to help count what is to end up in that pot at the end of the rainbow. Everyone loves a maze…
They help kids with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This one is a great themed one for this free printable pack. Now let’s talk basic math!
One leprechaun plus 3 shamrocks comes out to how much St. Patrick’s Day fun? The picture doesn’t matter, but the numbers do – just have them count along with you as they go. That takes us to the alphabet!
Tracing letters helps them practice for the real thing. Have them trace them all and sing the ABC song with them after they did it, pointing out all the letters you sing. For those that are a little past that, we have a word scramble!
The pictures tell them what the word is, and the letters simply need to be unscrambled. Again, all a fun St. Patrick’s Day theme. Now, back to tracing…
Where we traced the letters before, now we are tracing the numbers. To the left of the tracing fun, we have actual items to count that match up – like 4. and there are four flags! Now, which one of these is not like the other…
I can’t help but hear that Sesame Street song in my head! Help your munchkin go through each line and circle the item that is different than the others.
I hope these fun nine pages of St Patrick’s Day Activities are enough to help bring a little magic to your learning sessions. You can get your FREE PRINTABLE HERE
