Tacky Box #Review

by Dannelle

Do you ever hear little your little people say something that they shouldn't? Or talk to each other in less than kind way? This is where this Tacky Box comes to the rescue! This is a fun idea created by a mother - daughter team to empower kiddos to change their own words/behavior for the better. The kit includes You simple read the (beautifully illustrated) 32 page book to your child (geared for ages 3-10) and present them with their own box. Let them decorate their Tacky Box. Then the note pads come in! We had kind of a rocky start at this point... Miss Sarah thought she was the "Tacky Police" and wanted to put everyone's tacky behaviour in there. I clarified that it was HER monitoring HER behaviour. (Otherwise I wouldn't be able to call her a little dingleberry anymore when she leaves her clothes on the bathroom floor)! After two months of trying it out -- I have to give the Tacky Box a serious "thumb's up". Miss Sarah is a pretty amazing little girl, but … [Read more...]

Save on College Books – RENT Them!

by Dannelle

College Books check resources for less expensive options

Let’s face it, college books can be the top expense for college students, after tuition. That is why I was so excited to learn of Campus Book Rentals and be asked to share my thoughts with you because 500 years ago, when I put myself through college, I found book buying time to be horribly stressful. I had saved my own money, had grants and did work-study, but it all still came out of my own pockets. The list of what I HAD to have for my classes seemed to get longer, and longer, and longer….and I could literally hear the “cha-ching” of the register in my head as I added each textbook to my stack. Keep in mind that I bought USED books, not new…and they still mounted to a hefty total! I would have loved to know how to save money on college books. 500 years later, with kids now coming out of college attached to $200,000+ in debt, ANY way that you can trim expenses is fantastic! Save money on college books That is where Campus Book Rentals comes in.They have been around since … [Read more...]

Meals For A College Student

by Dannelle

Meals for a college student? Skipping meals or eating unbalanced meals results in a 25% drop in productivity. Plus, it causes sleep deprivation, leaving a college student operating at half-capacity. Since college is never easy, do not compromise your health and try Wise Food Storage products! These are tastier, cheaper, healthier foods than anything bought at fast food chains, plus are easier and faster to prepare. Below are some tips for creating a small dorm-room “pantry” of fast and healthy meals for a college student. These don’t require refrigeration, won’t add to the dreaded Freshman Fifteen, and will beat a diet of noodles any day. Meals For A College Student The other big tip when thinking of meals for a college student? Get an Instant Pot! https://amzn.to/3dh5IIP It is several appliances in one and much better than just an … [Read more...]
