My Mom got to see Pete’s Dragon Movie in LA before it came out in theaters, and she LOVED the reboot of the Disney classic. That is why we are sharing the official Disney Pete’s Dragon Movie Activity Booklet with you – to have some fun with your furry green friend.
Pete’s Dragon:
Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford), a woodcarver, delights local children with stories of a mysterious dragon that lives deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. His daughter Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard) believes these are just tall tales, until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley), a 10-year-old orphan who says he lives in the woods with a giant, friendly dragon. With help from a young girl named Natalie (Oona Laurence), Grace sets out to investigate if this fantastic claim can be true.

Despite the vastly improved visuals, the new film is just as soft-hearted — and, unfortunately, just as mush-headed — as the earlier one.
He is right, I saw the original with my Mom, before I saw this remake. Both were good – but in different ways! I think we are going to see a huge trend of Disney remaking all of their classic movies and doing a lot with a real live cast instead of all the animation, which they are known for.
