A wee bit of Irish fun for St Patrick’s Day that is perfect for the little leprechauns in your life! This is a free printable that we pulled together for you and hope that it delights your preschoolers!
Saint Patrick’s Day, feast day (March 17) of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. Born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity.
While that is a little bit more history than most littles need to know about the big day, these printables for the littles are a great way to slowly break them into the traditions your family may have.
My mom has some great Irish recipes to make, and of course, have the littles help you! Taste the food, play with the preschool pack, and maybe catch a local parade! The next thing you know – you are sprouting red hair and dancing a jig! Cooking with the kids is HUGE – you can teach them seven different lessons at the same time!
